John R. Doubman Named New Chief Operating Officer of Ecore International and President of Ecore Commercial

Ecore, a company that transforms reclaimed materials into high-performance products that make people’s lives better, announces the hiring of John “Jay” R. Doubman as chief operating officer of Ecore International and president of Ecore Commercial. Doubman brings more than 28 years of experience in the industrial, chemicals, building products, and management consulting industries, with both public and private equity ownership.

Doubman will assume leadership of all revenue lines of business across the Ecore family as chief operating officer. Additionally, as president of Ecore Commercial Doubman will lead the growth and servicing of Ecore’s product portfolio among contractor and architectural clientele. His expertise in corporate and business unit strategy, commercial and operational excellence, and corporate development will be invaluable to the continued growth and success of Ecore in the industry.

Most recently Doubman was president of Building Solutions Group where he oversaw profitability for the business and led a team with the primary focus of driving synergistic organic growth and integration of acquisitions. Previously, he spent 13 years at Cabot Corporation, a global specialty chemicals and performance materials company, holding various roles of increasing responsibility, serving on the executive committee, and working with the board of directors as a member of the management team.

Doubman earned his master’s of business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bucknell University. Residing in Winchester, Mass., with his wife and three daughters, he is an enthusiastic athlete and enjoys both endurance and recreational sports.
