Galaxy rx Completes Ecore's Healthcare Surface Offering
Ecore, a company that transforms reclaimed waste into performance surfaces that make people's lives better, is proud to announce the launch of its newest product, Galaxy rx. Part of the Tru family and specifically designed for healthcare environments, Galaxy rx comes in a standard sheet and features a 2 mm vulcanized rubber surface fusion bonded to a 5mm recycled rubber backing. The result is a surface that reduces the severity of patient or resident injuries while mitigating liability for the owners of the healthcare facilities.
"The launch of Galaxy rx rounds out Ecore's surface offering for healthcare environments," said Arthur Dodge III, CEO and president of Ecore. "With this product, we now have the ability to offer floors for sterile applications, giving Ecore the ability to provide surfacing for virtually every area of a hospital, rehab or healthcare facility."
Galaxy rx is available in 12 soothing earth tone colors. In addition to being attractive, this surface also significantly reduces structure-borne sound, giving patients the quiet they need to recover. The overall comfort two layers of rubber provide also improves ergonomics for patients, residents, and staff.
Ecore's Tru family of products is unique, because these surfaces are more ergonomic, quieter, and safer than traditional resilient surfacing. This is made possible through Ecore's patented itstru technology, which takes a premium resilient floor covering and fusion bonds it to an Ecore rubber backing. Terrain rx and Forest rx are two vinyl surfaces with a recycled rubber backing that round out the rest of the Tru family.
